The spring campout with the cub scouts was a success. There were a lot of scouts in attendance, and Zander had a great time. There were the occasional scheduling hiccups, but by and large it went well. The pack leaders decided to keep the final campfire activity to a shorter time limit than the fall campout, and I think it was a good decision. As far as I know, nobody got hurt and we all had fun.
The weather was excellent the entire time, and the campsites were in great shape. We had the sites closest to the bathrooms, which is always a plus. The river was not too cold, and the scouts all enjoyed a dip after the hike on Saturday. Zander and I even got a chance to finally use our hammocks, that we got a few Christmases ago.
